Central to the concept of No Dice is the replacement of the term DM (Dungeon Master) or GM (Game Moderator/Master) with the term Host.

There's a whole rambling treatise about why this is in the Core Book but in a nutshell the idea is to stop the person running the game feeling like a referee, an arbitrator, an almighty dark angel of ultimate justice beholden to Lady Luck and a tight, efficient ruleset. Instead the person running the game is an entertainer, a comforter, he is on the side of the players, it is his job to make the player's experience work.

In short, the Host is a host and the players are his guests.

This page will expand over time to encompass more thoughts about this idea as it's central to the whole No Dice concept.
